British Airways decided to resume flights to Iran
British Airways first British airline flies directly to Iran after a break of four years, after raising part of the international sanctions on Tehran.
The company will operate six flights a week between Heathrow Airport in London and Tehran.
The first return flights British Airways between London and Tehran to 1964, but stopped in 2007 after the imposition of sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program.
The airline continued to "BMI" based in Britain to fly to Iran, but it was mothballed in 2012.
There were both Iran and Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States last year's nuclear deal, paving the way for an easing of sanctions and the resumption of flights.
The Director of the British Airways Sean Doyle said, "British Airways has a long history of trips bound for Iran, so we are very excited to launch flights six times a week directly from Heathrow to Tehran."
"Iran is a wonderful country, and the stunning sites (...) visited by tourists and discover its culture," pointing out that "the lifting of sanctions recently allowed to re-open" the doors of Iran before the business and "paved the way for trade."
